Moss and the Seven Windows
Moss is not ready to sleep, so he sits out on the warm roof with his mother and counts the lit windows in the valley below. One by one they go out, and the very last one is their own.
There was once a small house at the top of a hill. On its roof sat a kitten called Moss. One of his ears folded over a little at the tip. The day was over. The first stars were out. The tiles were still warm from the day, warm under his paws. Down in the house it had gone quiet too early. The lamp was turned low. But Moss was not the least bit sleepy. So he had climbed up onto the roof. And his mother had climbed up after him.
